Roger Parry

My enjoyment of photography started whilst still at school when a family friend suggested that I joined Smethwick Photographic Society, I did so, and the rest, as they say, is history. I have now been secretary of the Society for over 50 years and served as President on 3 separate occasions.

I serve on the Council of The Midland Counties Photographic Federation (MCPF) and have been President on two occasions. I am also a member of the executive of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) where I chair the judge’s selection committee and am a member of the FIAP sub-committee.

I am a PAGB listed judge and regularly invited to judge exhibitions at both National and International Level.

I have worked in the Photographic Trade for much of my working life being Technical Manager for Paterson Photographic and have lectured extensively throughout the UK.

I am a PermaJet sponsored lecturer and member of the following organisations:

Judith Parry

I was first introduced to photography by my grandfather when I was a young child, he taught me how to make sun prints.

Last century I joined Smethwick Photographic Society and have served on its committee ever since and have had the honour to have been President twice. I am also the longest serving member of the Smethwick International Exhibition committee, having been a member of that committee since it started.

I serve on the Council of the Midland Counties Photographic Federation and am the longest serving member. I am the Chairman of the Midland Salon and have been President twice. I am also Chairman of Photofolio, an exhibition organised by the MCPF for its member clubs.

I am a PAGB listed judge and am regularly invited to judge exhibitions at both National and International level.

In 2014 I was given the Members award by the Royal Photographic Society, which gave me life membership.
